Maia has recently been exploring the intimate and complex relationship between viewer and dancer in a performance context. Her most recent performance and choreography piece, “Firebird,” is shown below. She was experiencing a mild hip injury as well as tendonitis at the time of show, but ultimately was able to perform.  She is currently working on a series of recorded dances in nature.
